My Guilty Pleasure

I like Taylor Swift. Which is hard for me to admit after mocking certain friends like Paige who told me the same thing. I even bought the song on iTunes twice because the first time it went missing after it was downloaded. I just can't help but sing along to Love Story. I don't know how I let this happen but I already know all the words and have even watched the music video...twice. Not to mention I just wrote a blog post about the song. My only complaint though is that I know get all this country music suggestions in my Genius on iTunes.

Moving on, I don't know how much I appreciate the fact facebook is making me adapt again. The truth is that I know in max 2 weeks I won't even notice the changes. What is interesting about it though is that many twitterers have been commenting on
its similarity to twitter. And I think they are dead on....

Just so you know...

All I do is read. 60 pages in one class. 120 in another. I have turned into a hermit trying to stay on top of all these readings. Monday nights are usually devoted to watching the melodramatic TV shows that give me unrealistic expectations of how love should be BUT no! I spent the night locked in my room hilighter in hand.
Thank God for PVR :)

Last night I rearranged my room. My bed, which usually faces the window now faces the mirror. I love this new set up however, there are two problems: 1) Outlets are now in the most inconvenient places making it hard to connect anything. 2) Every time I catch my reflection in the mirror I think it is either someone coming to kill me or a vampire (no doubt proof of my new Twilight obsession). Problem 1 was easily solved with the use of extension chords, but problem 2 will have to take a lot of getting used to.

Even though last week I was all hate towards "New Facebook" I must confess I like it. I am embracing the change unlike tons of others who downloading the "Old Facebook" application. Gosh they didn't even give it one day.

I love the colour purple (obvious fact for anyone who knows me). I have purple scarves, purple shoes, a purple schoolbag, a purple purse, a purple pencil case, a purple font scheme in my blog and even my cell phone is a nice plum purple or maybe it's more on the eggplant side. You get my point. Anyways, today in class I spotted the ultimate purple item: a purple laptop. I was amazed, jealous and distracted. Even for purple obsessed me I acknowledged that a purple laptop would be purple overkill. (Just like the fact that I wrote it 12 times in this post).

Press Pass (and The Hills and My Birthday)

The Hills is my not so guilty pleasure. I am proud t o admit that I watch it and I love it!
I don't aspire to be like them, I don't think the show has any substance or truth. It's funny and enjoyable and it is the perfect endings to my Monday nights.
Anyways... this weeks episode featured the ongoing saga of Lauren and Audrina's dwindling friendship. Generally it looks like made up drama that is acted, staged and totally unemotional. BUT this week the two shared a heart to heart that grabbed my heart. (Lame... I know) Both girls had tears in their eyes, and bared their intimate feelings to the public. Okay fine, maybe its fake intimate feelings but regardless I couldn't help but feel for the first time in my Laguna/Hills career that I was imposing on an intimate exchange between "friends".

The other thing I so desperately need to discuss is my love/hate relationship with the 27th of September. Birthdays are always filled with so much hype but despite endless attempts of perfect plans they are also always a let down. Like many things in life, I am nervously awaiting the day when I must choose how to celebrate my 19th. Decision day is max a week away and this is a problem because I am idealess. I do however intend to have super low expectations so that if it sucks, I have saved myself from extra emotional distress.

I have to brag about what is guaranteed to be the best part of my week. Today I found out that as a Journalism student I get my very own Press Pass :) Can't wait! I hope that I can use it to get into movies and concerts oh and of course use it to write super awesome articles/reviews.

Off to read Twilight (yes I am already hooked).
